On behalf of the Scientific and Organizing Committees I am delighted to welcome you to the XVI International Scientific Congress "Olympic Sport and Sport for All and VI International Scientific Congress "Sport, Stress, Adaptation" which will be held from 17-19 May 2012 in Sofia.
It is a great pleasure and honour for all of us at the National Sports Academy to host this prestigious scientific forum at our territory, right now, when we celebrate the 70th anniversary of our institution. The National Sports Academy was founded in 1942 and it remains the only higher educational establishment specialized in the field of sports science in Bulgaria.
The philosophy of this Congress entirely complies with our inner belief in the ever-lasting strength of the Olympic Values and their impact on Sport for All. I believe that this Congress could mark another step forward in this direction.
In this context, let me wish everyone of you inspiration, success and consistence in the process of applying the Olympic Values to education and to society as a whole, as well as to the mass sport itself.
